LED Lighting Introduction Examples/Construction Examples Chain Lighting
Reduce power consumption by approximately 50%! Enhanced lighting variations.
In the "LED Lighting Case Studies/Construction Examples: Chain Lighting," we introduce the case study of exterior lighting installation at Tsutenkaku, a symbol of Osaka. By renewing the exterior lighting of Tsutenkaku and switching most of the neon tubes to LED, we have reduced power consumption by about 50% compared to before, while also expanding the lighting options from four colors to six, allowing for a more diverse range of colors in the illumination. The lighting display expresses the seasons with six colors throughout the year (January-February: white, March-April: cherry blossom pink, May-June: green, July-August: light blue, September-November: gold, December: teal), enhancing the sense of seasonality and the presence of the tower as a regional symbol. [Featured Case] - Main renovation points of the lighting specifications: → The line-shaped lighting running vertically and horizontally on the tower was changed from neon tubes to LED modules, and the spotlighting was switched from mercury lamps to LED floodlights. - Neon tubes are used for parts of the signage. - The control system for the entire LED lighting uses a Hitachi microcontroller, co-developed by Osaka Cloud Co., Ltd. and Art Tech Co., Ltd. - The full-color LED modules for the lines are manufactured by Art Tech Co., Ltd.
